HOW THE SPACE WORKS
EXIT isn't a conventional coworking space. There are no assigned desks or private offices. The room remains flexible and shared. Some days it is quiet. Some days people are collaborating. Some nights it becomes a printmaking workshop, dinner, exhibition, social gathering or performance. That transformation is inherent in the design.
Membership gives you access to EXIT during designated member hours whenever the space isn't being used for private rentals or programming.
Our event and rental calendar always takes priority. Members will have access to a live schedule so you'll know when the space is available. This isn’t your remote working space. This is your neighborhood studio for thinking, ideating, learning, collaborating, and creating.
WHY MEMBERSHIP?
More and more of life happens alone, at home, through a screen. We think people need places that ask something different of them. Places where you can work independently without being isolated. Places where you can encounter people you didn't schedule a Zoom call with. Places where culture isn't something you consume but something you participate in. EXIT has spent years creating those moments through exhibitions, workshops, performances, conversations and gatherings.
Membership opens the space between the events. The event doesn't have to start at 7PM. Sometimes the event is just being there.
FOUNDING WINTER MEMBERSHIP
We're starting small. The first EXIT Membership will be limited to 20 people so we can learn together what this should become. $99/month. Initial winter season: November–February.
Founding members will help shape how the program develops. From access hours and amenities to member gatherings and new ways of using the space. This is an experiment in what a neighborhood cultural space can be when the doors stay open.
